Adept’s Sheffield project

ADEPT project in Sheffield is managed in partnership with Employment and Labour Market Solutions (ELMS), a not-for-profit agency specialising in economic and employment aspects of regeneration.

ADEPT has recruited ten community development workers from around the city, many of them with recent personal experience of long-term unemployment.

They are engaged sandwich-course style. Four fifths of their time is committed to practical work in and with local communities on projects reflecting local needs, issues and aspirations. One fifth is dedicated to ADEPT’s structured, accredited, award-winning Working in Community Organisations training course.

For more information contact ADEPT on info@adept.org.uk, or contact project co-ordinator Vanessa Marshall direct at vanessam@elms.uk.com.
